Turns out Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and I are on the same page.
This morning Bill Jelen, “Mr. Excel” posted a cool story from the CEO of Microsoft claiming Excel as the company’s most important consumer product.
It was a coincidence because I just had a guest post published on the blog of Anne Walsh, aka the “Excel Expert” on the future of Excel.
Anne just wrote a great book called Your Excel Survival Kit: A guide to surviving and thriving in an Excel World. The themes overlap neatly with mine. Both are about the power and importance of learning Excel for your career.
Competition is increasing in the business intelligence industry. I believe that Microsoft will stay the industry leader.
The Microsoft-LinkedIn partnership only emphasizes the strong relationship between Excel skills and career development.
